Hi, if you don´t have access to the MML commands you can still view or change NIU IP Address using niux commands, like this:
1.- Attach a V24 cable to the 1st v24 port.
2.- Follow this sequence:
SSSSSSSSSSSSS
username ? > MDUSER
password ? >
niux > netcnf e
Current Ethernet setting:
IP address : 192.168.250.41
Network mask : 255.255.255.0
Default router : 192.168.250.1
Baud rate : 65535 (0xffff)
Data bits : 255 (0xff)
Parity : 255 (0xff)
Stop bit : 255 (0xff)
Any changes? es or o <no> y
IP address (dec)
New value: 192.168.250.42
Subnet mask (dec)
New value: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway (dec)
New value: 192.168.250.1
Save current net config? es or o <no>y
Net configuration saved
niux > quit
pcasi thanks for your suggestion, however you miss understood me I already have the ip address and do not wish to change it. I could login to the NIU2 board, but can't use any of the MML commands. If you reply, please do if you can, can you repy to my other post that talks about the same subject, "MD 110 installation help needed".
