Simple question....

Can I use the cable that connects my AAU with the IPU for connecting to a NIU via tty?
(has the cable the same structure?)
I need to connect NIU via tty, but I don't have another cable and it's impossible to use the ethernet one.

Thx!

Hi

As far as I'm concerned there is no great difference here providing the relevant NIU port is configured for "MML" when you do an "IODDP" printout. Remember, on an NIU the first 3 ports are for V24 connections and the 4th is Ethernet.

Hope it works !!

But the other side is RJ45 (IPU side) and I need a RS232 connector (for COM port of the PC)....
I did'nt think about it :(

Aprasha: Try this & find from cisco.com any other cable pinouts you require.

Navdeep
