NIU-Firmware Update fails

I try to update NIU-Firmware. After cnbsi I will be logged off (normal). Then I can not reconnect to MD110. After sending SSSSSSSSSSS; no reaction. But I have access to NIUXX and I can see, that the new firmware is loaded. After removing and reinserting NIU access to MD110 is ok. again, but then old firmware is reactivated (normal)... What to do?

My experience from updating NIUs is that it takes quite some time, you almost think that it has failed. Have you waited long enough? ~5 min at least.
