i have a small office in Virginia with about 35 users. They have an M3904 at reception and want me to put a dummy extension on every phone so receptionist can forward her phone to this dummy DN that will ring everyone's phone. I set up an MCR key but just now discovered that there's a limitation of 30 phones i can put the same MCR key on. If i make it an SCR key does the same limitation still exist? and do you have any other suggestions that don't involve buying additional equipment? thanks for your help.

YES SAME LIMITATIONS ARE IN PLACE, SUGGESTION BUILD AN ANALOG AND PLACE A COUPLE OF CHIMES OFF OF IT. PLACE EVERYONE IN THE SAME PICK GROUP, SHE CAN FORWARD TO THE ANALOG EXTENSION AND IT CAN BE PICKED BY ANYONE.

can't spend any money! But if i could...what kind of chimes? and how do i actually connect them so they "chime"?

PERRYPJ's solution with the chimes is your best alternative. The "chime" is any analog ringer. They make some that chime like door bells, or give an electronic chirp, with a flashing light when ringing..... You can select what is best for your environment at Graybar or the vendor of your choice. Chime connects to analog port same as any set would and you can have up to 7 chimes on same port.

1.Build a new analog port with any available DN.
2.Put all 35 users and the new analog port in same call pick up group.

Operation:
When M3904 receptionist leaves at end of day, forward all calls on phone to new analog port. When incoming call is presented, it will ring chime. Any set can dial call pick up code and get call.

this is also called a nightbell i have one in a small office and i daisy chained 6 of them together in different places in the ceiling. When the receptionist leaves and there are people still in the office she forwards to the analog port connected to the bells and they use call-pick-up to intercept the call. When the last person leaves they forward the reception phone to v-mail for the menu mailbox.this was fairly cheap and works like a charm.
