nis ypslave error

Hi
I do have NIS master server (Linux RedHat 4)
I did added another host also RedHat 4 and installed also ypserv package (all the needed packages for NIS slave are present)
I did read some howto’s at the web tried all possible configuration ending up with no success configuring master slave relationship.
When I try to do the command "yppush ypservers" or "/var/yp/make" I always get the same error:
"ypservers->NIS_SLAVE_SERVER_NAME : Callback timed out"

Can anyone help/advice/suggest any idea.

Is there anyone that had the same problem?
I did it with another host and had the same result.
The problem looks rise from the Master NIS server, can anyone suggest any clue?
Where to start?
As I mentioned at the first threat I only try to configure YPslave to present YPmaster.

Any Help/Advice will be appreciate

Geez, I haven't managed NIS in years, so I'm a bit rusty.

What happens when you type:
ypcat ypservers

I can't remember, does NIS require rpc services? Are these running on the slave?
