Has anyone installed NIS 2005 successfully on a Windows 98 machine? I've spent 15 hours installing, uninstalling and reinstalling. It was supposed to accept settings from NIS 2004 but instead it wiped out 2004 which can not now be reinstalled. 2005 does not appear in Add/remove progams but pieces are present. Symantec sent a link to something that will supposedly remove remnants from the registry to be followed by a number of other time consuming and potentially destructive steps, but given the buggy downloads from Symantec over the past year, I'm uneasy about letting them cleanse the registry. There are so many replies to questions on this site. I do hope someone can please supply some information on this. Thanks.
