I have programmed a button for a users phone that sets a hunt group to night service and falls back to a hunt group with a night ringer in it.I have also applied a Time Profile for the same hunt group to automaticly put it into Night Service. Everything works perfectly.

My Question is, if I press the NightService Button on the phone and I don't press it again to turn it off, but the time profile kicks out at the end of the day, what happens to the hunt groups Night service status when the Time Profile kicks in the next morning?

Will the Hunt group still be in Night service until some one presses the button again?

Trying to get my head around it...

Thanks

You could try "Out Of Service", so the time profile goes to the "Night Service" and the button puts it in "Out Of Service" point to the same group.

Then it would stay out of service until the button is pressed, as out of service overrides night service. Just as a test why don't you temporarily extend the night service time profile, so you can manually set it into night service and then see if it comes off automatically. According to the docs it says while inside the time profile it follows manual mode, but it can't be overridden if it's already in night service, no mention of the aboce scenario.

bas1234 is correct. The Out of Service will override a time profile. You may apply a time profile to a group which will control the Hunt Group>Fallback>Night Service destination on an automatic schedule. You may then program a button for Set Huntgroup Out of Service which will control the Hunt Group>Fallback>Out of Service destination on a manual schedule.

When enabled Out of Service will be followed regardless of the time profile. The automatic schedule will not resume operation until the Out of Service button is disabled. We usually lable the something like "Force Night".

That's what I said just more briefly, but if you apply a time profile to a group and it is in within the hours of that time profile you can still manually put it into night service(just tested), you can't take it off night service with the button if the system has it in night service, but if you have put it in night service before the time profile has kicked in will the time profile bring it into service when it normally would? Do you follow?

Centit, just tested it, if you put the group into night service before the time profile does it will stay in night service even outside the time profile. so hope that's answered the question :)

Thanks everyone,

So I have to make sure the user pushes the button in the morning if they Force Night Service the day before.

I was hoping the TIme Profile would some how override or reset the button status the following Day.

Oh well, I guess I will have to put it on a few peoples phones just incase they don't show up the next morning...

Would be good if it did, it is setting the same thing really :)
