Our night station is currently manned from 6pm until 6 am. We are changing our staffing and would like to forward our night station calls to another extension from mid-night to 6am. So extension A will cover the night station from 6pm until midnight and extension B will cover night station calls from midnight to 6 am. Extension A is programmed as the night station.

Can I simply forward all calls from the extension A to extension B from mid-night to 6am? Or is there a better way to do this?

Thanks for your help.

I'm assuming that this station "A" is manned all the time...
Call forwarding the extension is a good way to do this.

You can also place a coverage path from station "A" to station "B", set it to 5 rings, use a button that you can press at night at station "a" (send-calls) to activate at night when leaving and to eliminate the 5 rings and go to coverage to station "B" immediately.

you could also put both stations in a terminating extension group and use the group number for the night service ext.
Both phones will ring...

Try a cover path for station 1800 to 2400 to go first point to station 2400 til 0600.
