So I installed a BCM50 R3 and the customer wanted it to ring certain phones in the morning and at night, ring another group of phone.

I used Ring groups and scheduled services to assign what time the night services would kick in automatically. The results are not what I expected however. It would ring the other alternate night group for half a ring and go straight to the admin's mailbox. I've been looking into for a week now and I can't seem to figure out what I did wrong. could it be the AA thats giving it problems?

Thank you.

check your ring groups and remove the Voicemail DN.
\press feature 985 to find out the voicemail DN/

Try changing the number of rings on the attendants voicemail box to a higher number and see if that make a difference.
The call is going to the correct locations, but is getting recalled to the admin mailbox.

I believe it is already set to higher. it is set to pick up after 6 rings while the aa is set to pick up at 5. I will check on this though.

Is one of the phones in the ring group set to forward to voicemail (F 984)?

You need to be carefull os sets and their timers if they are to be in any ring group or lines assigned to ring.

Remove all sets, add 1 and test, keep adding 1 and test until you find the culprit.
