Here is my setup:
CICS 4.1 with an external JBOSS ringer
Incoming calls are automatically picked up by the AA

My problem:
We receive a lot of calls were people will hit a person's ext. and then if forwarded to vm they will hit 0 to get back to operator. If she is there she answers if not it goes to her vm. I would like that if she is not at her desk to hit the Night Ring button (F871) on her phone. So if someone hits 0 or calls her ext. directly it will ring the aux ringer. It seems like the only way I can get this to work is by adding her phone to the aux. ringer but this rings it every time someone calls her ext. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Thomas

use night mode. when the recpt is away she can hit night mode and have her ext and one other(which sets off the aux ringer) in a ringing group.

Do I need to associate the aux ringer to an extension? The way I currently have it a night scheduled set manually and the only extension in the group is 221. However, the only way it wants to ring the aux. ringer is by checking yes for aux. ringer under Terminal & Sets, but this causes the aux. ringer to sound all of the time.

yes choose a ext that is not used/called very much and have it assigned to the same group for after hours.

Maybe its not possible, but I still can't get what I want. When I turn on the night service, I can hear a brief ring on the aux. ringer, then AA immediately picks up giving the caller a chance to dial an extension. If I call an extension and get the person's vm then hit 0 I would like this to sound the aux. ringer. This seems to work ok if I set Aux. ringer to Y in Terminal and Sets for ext. 221, but this causes the aux. ringer to sound all the time, which is too distracting. Any other ideas?

Sell the customer a M7100 and install it in the phone room or the celing. turn on the aux ringer for this set. whenever the recp't is away from her desk have her call forward to the 7100 (Feature 4 and the 7100s DN)
