I'm very new to managing the Meridian system we have at work. I'm not even sure of the current version of software loaded. The person I'm learning from to take over management is gone for the week (of course) and we developed a small problem with the Night Service feature. After 5 pm, the greeting changes and the caller is given a couple options to get recorded info, etc, and if they stay on the line they get our 24 hour dispatcher. Apparently sometime over the weekend, calls stopped going through. If you call in and let the system transfer you, it just keeps ringing, but never actually rings to the dispatcher's phone. I have tested a theory I had and apparently it's true. If you call from a phone, and it just rings, calling from another phone, the call will get through. This only happens when the system is in Night Service (and over the weekend which I assume is also considered Night Service). I am assuming this is controlled by the Meridian Mail system, but if I'm wrong, please do correct me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I got a couple ideas of things to look at from the forum, but I'm not real confident that any of them are the answer to the problem.
