Hi guys,

we have OS4K V.7 and night service from attendant console to 1111 station. When not in night service the 1111 station can dial out from PBX to PSTN over trunks. But when it is in night service, it only can dial local stations. I have checked all COS, and LCOS for AC and station, and all look OK. Also I have read in some doc from hipath 4000 v3.4 that there is somewhere night COS, but I can find it on OS4K V.7.

Any clues what would be the problem?

Thank you.

COS 1 is day mode and COS 2 is night mode.

LCOSV1 is day mode and LCOSV2 is night mode.

They can have different settings in them - like for a public phone that might be able to call out during the day, but only receive calls at night, and stuff like that.

Also look at NAVAR and make sure there isn't anything strange in there. I don't use it very often, but I have, and I just don't remember what's all in there. That is how you create the night destinations and assign them.

CHANGE-ZAND:LCR

If an extension is set to NAVAR then it's restrictions are governed by the above and not LCOSV.

This is ZAND LCR: (Not sure what to change?)

cha-zand:lcr,,,0&&64,add; will give all lauth to the night phone. So 0&&64 covers everything, you might want to adjust as you're only using 1&&25 above.

Check the NAVAR Extension to see what LCOSV1 it currently has.
Make the ZAND LCR the same access level

DIS-ZAND:LCR; will show

My NAVAR Extension has LCOSV1 = 20; So I set it to ZAND: CHANGE-ZAND:TYPE=LCR,LCRCOSUP=17&18&19&20&21&22&23&24&25,XLCRCOS=ADD,LCRNSTN=20,XLCRNSTN=ADD,ITR=0;

And the situation is the same, the NAVAR extension cannot dial out of PBX.

Here it is:

REG-COSSU:LCOSV,20;
H500: AMO COSSU STARTED
CHA-COSSU:LCOSV,20,1&&20;
CHA-COSSU:LCOSV,20,,,,,0;

AMO-COSSU-111 CLASSES OF SERVICE

CHANGE-ZAND:LCR,,,1&&20,ADD,0;
CHANGE-ZAND:LCR,,,1&&20,ADD,1;
CHANGE-ZAND:LCR,,,1&&20,ADD,2;
etc.

sbcsu,you are the man. Thank you, it worked! Just can you explain why CHANGE-ZAND:LCR,,,20,ADD,0 wasn't working, and CHANGE-ZAND:LCR,,,1&&20,ADD,0 is working?

Thank you again!!

Best

Glad you got it sorted out.

Extension 1111 (the NAVAR Night Service Extension) has in it's LCOSV 20.

LCOSV 20 (in COSSU LCOSV) has 1&&20 so 1 and 2 and 3 etc. up to and including 20.

So normally that extension has all the dialing out abilities of LCOSV 1 and 2 and 3 etc. up to and including 20.

Because it is a NAVAR extension that LCOSV is overridden by the ZAND LCR.

So the ZAND LCR also has to have 1&&20, then the NAVAR extension has the same dialing out capacity as when it was not a NAVAR extension.
