Hi, Does anyone know of a way to have an incoming Direct dial number turn a night service on and off, customer doesnt have vmpro

You could probably do it with two DDI's not one, just point them to shortcodes set up to turn it on/off :)

You may be able to create a group which is set to sequential that has two virtual users in, one forwarded to the on shortcode and one to off, then when you ring that group it would toggle it on and off. I have never tried this BTW, but you could :)

Hi Amriddle, meant to say i was using 2 ddi's, tried the 1st option but it didnt work, but i will give your second idea a try
thanks

Ok, created user, created shortcode, put the shortocode in the users forwarding tab, works fine on the system if you dial the users extn, just gets busy tone if you dial in to it externally

Have you ticked forward hunt group calls?

Yes, works internally if i put the user in a group and dial the group number

Try targetting a different group that has this one as it's fallback destination, you are effectivley trying to cheat the system so it may never work :)

Also is the shortcode a # or * shortcode? If so try it with a number only like 888 or seomething :)

You cant put a * or a # in the users forward so i am using a 666 shortcode, tried the fallback, didnt work, also i created a group, gave that group a night service group of the original group with the shortcode user in it, put it into night service and rang the group internally, works fine, try to ring the number from external and just get busy, think i am going to give up now, thanks for all your help
