We are planning on impleneting DISA with CCR and VMIB at the moment and I have a question.

At the moment I am planning different CCR responses (e.g. press 1 for department 1) route to hunt groups which overflow to VMIB when not answered which is fine. However as we are routing calls to two distinct departments (press 1 and 2 respectively) which often have different variable operating hours (e.g. 0800-1600 and 0900-1700 respectively) we would like to ideally use CCR all the time but have different "night"times. so thta when department2 is closed it automatically goes to their night VMIB announcement and group mailbox. This means the incoming announcement would always be consistent but depending on the time (day/night) routes to the hunt groups or vmib mailbox respectively.

Is the correct way to do this to have a second attendant station in department 2? I think this is something to do with intercom tenancy groups but I got a bit lost reading the ops manual.

ideas or ways to do this??

Thanks

jon.

It can be worked out but it is a bit hard.
Instead I recommend that you - in your welcome greeting and also in your overflow messages - announce the opening hours of the actual group.

You are right - this can be done with tenancy groups, where you put an attendant to set the part of the PBX in day/night mode.

From the manual:

You may assign a station to a ICM Tenancy Group, and restrict ICM Tenancy Groups to call each other. And each ICM Tenancy Group can be assigned to a different attendant. In ipLDK-600/300 system, 15 ICM Tenancy Group may exist, so does attendant.

Operation
1. Click [ICM Tenancy Group] then all ICM tenancy group information will be displayed in one screen.
2. Select an ICM Tenancy Group that you want to change and select [Update] button in pop menu.
3. Put an attendant station number for the ICM Tenancy Group you have just selected.
4. Click each ICM group check box that you want to access.
5. After all changes press [Update] button to save changes.

Thanks for this. I might go with your first suggestion as it doesn't sound straight forward!

Thanks

I checked ICM out and found this way to do it:

1.
PGM 111 BTN 13 (select extension numbers)
2.
Assign extensions to the ICM group 2 A
3.
Assign extensions to the ICM group 3 etc.
4.
PGM 120 BTN 1 Choose the extension to be local attandant for the two ICM group (Group 2 + 3)
(Main Attendant can not be selected)
5.
PGM 120 BTN 2 Give the members of an ICM group permission to call internally to the other groups used the ICM.

Herafter you have a number of groups (parts of the ipLDK PBX), with their own attendant. When the local attendant goes into night position, the night message is heard, if using VMIB.
When all local attendants are in night position, then the main attendant answers the calls.
When the main attendant is in night position the whole PBX is in night mode and the main night VMIB message can be heard.

One further question relating to DISA and CCR:

We have 4 ISDN lines terminating on one number. Can I still use DISA with CCR as I assume I need to leave the CO line type on ISDN for it to work?

Thanks for your help so far.

Q:
Can I still use DISA with CCR as I assume I need to leave the CO line type on ISDN for it to work?
A:
No, CCR/DISA need the lines to be set NORMAL.
So all lines using this must be set to NORMAL.

I would recommend to have your 4 lines split up in 2 lines with CCR/DISA (lines set to NORMAL in PGM140) and the other 2 with DDI for your extensions (lines set to ISDN/DDI in PGM140).
(But this suggestion is just for future needs).

Further to my question I think I have the answer (and with further application of google site search - why is this forum's search facility SO bad???).

I have a BRIBE card as opposed to a PRIB card. I switched the CO line types to Normal with DISA and it all works well!

Jon.

Thanks doktor - I missed your message before I posted!

Thanks
