Hi and thank you all in advance for any help/ solutions. Customer wants to add additional users to their Night Service group. They have an old R9. I am more of an IPOffice tech and have some knowledge of programming Definity/ CM.
Night destination for the main trunk group goes to a hunt group. No members. Hunt group goes to a coverage path and that coverage path points to a cover answer group. The cover answer group has 8 members . They want to have a total of 19 users ringing when the console is in Night Service. Is this doable??
Thanks,
Eileen

I don't have a definite answer but can you do a change on the coverage path and see if you can add another answer group?

Hi- I really want to have a simultaneous ring. In some newer releases you can change the number of members in a call answer group. Not R9 though. A friend suggested an x ported station and add bridged appearances for it on all phones that should ring...all phones have 3 spares except one. I'm waiting on a response from the contact about removing a few buttons or at least 1. A work in progress or to quote Cousin Eddy "It's the gift that keeps on giving..."

We had a similar situation for a night bell that I was able to add 10 or 15 people to but it was a pickup group. I didn't have to worry about ringing the stations because you could hear the actual bell throughout the facility.

This was in Dallas close to Gas Monkeys restaurant, and the "Night bell" was actually for late night deliveries. But as one worker called it, it really was just a way for the "Night crawlers" to bug them.

You can use TAAS - Trunk Answer Any Station
set up night bell and stations dial code to answer when night bell rings.
or instead of night bell you can use a bridged appearance for the night extension and administer that on many extensions.

Code:
change console-parameters
change tenant x

Ext Alert Port (TAAS): x

Enter 'X' or port number, where port number is: (MORE)
cabinet(1-2):carrier(A-E):slot(0-20):circuit(01-31) OR
gateway(1-50):module(V1-V9):circuit(01-31)

If you enter "x" a new field will show up where you can enter an unassigned
extension

Ext Alert (TAAS) Extension: 444

list extension-type 444

                            EXTENSION TYPE

                                                         COR/ Cv1/
        Ext Type/Name COS TN Cv2
        --- --------- --- -- ----
        444 station-user 1 1
                       External Alert 1

Now on other stations add abrdg-appr for 444

change station 401

5: abrdg-appr Ext: 444

change feature-access

Trunk Answer Any Station Access Code: 333

Only one station can have night-serv button which will light or go out with the
assigned attendant's night-serv buttons
