Hi, sometimes I get phone calls from users saying they can't get into their email via the web. I check the server and it has an error message nhttp.exe has failed. Once I reboot the server, everything is fine for a while. Any suggestions? I read somewhere that if the person is running IE 4.0 this might be the problem. Has anyone had this problem before?

What version of Domino are you running?

Are you able to type in Load HTTP at the console and get it going again? If so, it's the server task, not the client.

We are running 5.0.10 on the server and our users are web users R5. There's no Notes client installed on their machines. When it happens, outgoing and incoming email is still up and running for those using Notes client but email internet access is no longer working.

Understand that no client is on the machine.

Need to know, if you receive the Nhhhtp.exe error, can you go to the Domino console and type Load HTTP and have it load or does it tell you that it's already loaded?

Are you using the iNotes template or the Extended mail template on your users?

Once I get the nhttp.exe message, I either click ok or cancel. When I click either ok or cancel the message goes away and the Domino Server shuts down. I have to restart the server. So I don't have a chance to type load http. I called Notes support and sent them a copy of my notes.rip file, they said that this was a known issue in R 5.0.10 and that I should upgrade to 6.0.1. I have yet to do that but haven't had any problems lately.
