When I enter the following command at the client machine(OS10 solaris)

#mount -F nfs -o hard,rsize=32768,wsize=32768 esunxcs:/bak2/esora01 /ora_back

I am getting the follwing error message:
nfs mount:eek:ra_back not owner

WHen I did the same command on other servers I did not get any error messages.

What should I do?

Thanks

Jaya

Hi,
please check ownership of "ora_back". It should same as in other servers. Then try to mount it back. If it stills doesn't work, delete the "ora_back" directory and re-create it. Then try to mount it back.
let me know if u still face any issue.

Thanks,
smishra

What is the output of these commands:

[tt]ls -ld /ora_back
df -k /ora_back[/tt]

Annihilannic.

# ls -ld /ora_back
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 512 Dec 12 06:17 /ora_back
# df -k /ora_back

What if you try cd /net/esunxcs/bak2/esora01? If the file is in your /etc/hosts, and you did not change the automounter you should be able to see if you can access it. I would also check the share options on the server and see if your system has permisson to mount it.
