I am running Solaris 8 and trying to jumpstart a system using flashArchives. It fails when I use an archive that is 2.5GB. I think the problem is a limmitation on NFS mount and large files. It thought that Solaris 8 had large file suport.

Can any one help?

bjensen210,

The default NFS mount in Solaris 8 does support largefiles. You may want to verify that there are no options designateing "nolargefiles". Maybe it is shared out with the "nolargefiles" option.

HTH.

Have a Great Day!! :)

Thanks for your help. I am not using the nolarge files option. Maybe it is a limitation with jumpstart. I made a FlashArchive of 1.2GB today and it worked fine.
