Can someone provide some more insight into this Linux ISO install for Voicemail Pro? While I like the idea and applaud the effort to run away from MS and the issues that it brings, it does beg a lot of questions.
1) Will Windows Voicemail Pro still be supported?
2) Does that mean they got Manager working under Linux too? (I couldn't get past .NET errors when installing under Wine.)
3) We often use the Voicemail Pro server for remote admin of the system - will this still be possible with this Linux install? (goes to the above question I suppose)
4) Will oneX and all other web-based extras be supported on this Linux install? (CCR, UMS, etc [no reason UMS shouldn't run on Apache since its PHP anyway])
the docs do say the Linux VM Pro is a cost saving feature and will still need to be administerd from a windows based machine, there is no mention of any other products at the moment moving to *nix
Because you can use any PC to load Manager on, it' doesn't need to be dedicated to the role, or use dial-in for Manager and VM Pro client (as long as they fix the client)
