I just built a E3500 with Solaris 9, ran the Solaris 9 cluster (Security&Recommended) and now while trying to newfs a new Raid5 volume:

:/opt> newfs --help
ld.so.1: newfs: fatal: libefi.so.1: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed
:/opt> ldd /usr/sbin/newfs
libadm.so.1 => /usr/lib/libadm.so.1
libefi.so.1 => (file not found)
libc.so.1 => /usr/lib/libc.so.1
libelf.so.1 => /usr/lib/libelf.so.1
libdl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libdl.so.1
/usr/platform/SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise/lib/libc_psr.so.1
:/opt>

For no other reason then to hope for an explanation and to provide the fix for others:

I linked:
:/usr/lib> ln -s /usr/lib/libelf.so.1 libefi.so.1

on a hunch, low and behold.. it worked!
