Does anyone know of any sites that would boost me learning Flash 5? or affordable books? Thanks

This site is probably the best learning experience you will ever receive. Come here often and read the posts, download the .fla files in the FAQ section above, ask questions, etc. We are all here to help and to learn.

As far as books I strongle recommend the Flash 5 Bible. You can always go to and do a search for flash 5 tutorials help. That alone would bring up more than you could read ina lifetime.

It is a little slow today which is extremely odd but usually you can post a question in this forum and it will be answered within minutes. Can't beat that with a stick!

Good Luck!!!

Flash 5 book is what I have and it has help me a great deal. Then I heard of a book that is called Flash 5.5 for more involved teachings, not there yet....

Thanks Everyone!!!Stupid question, but what is a FLA file and what can I do with it if I download one?

the *.fla is the file extension on the file that Flash actually opens up. It remains editable within the flash software. Once you get the .fla file the way you like it...then you can export it as a .swf file which is what you upload to the internet. you can also export it as a .exe file which anyone with a pc can open and view.

I assume you have the Flash 5 software? Ya' Gotta Love It!
