Newbie Question

I am trying to get a formatted responce from a string that looks like this :

http://192.168.1.15/cgi-bin/get?exposure

I get the responce from device. But I would like to have the output placed on the same screen. To configure the exposure I would do this

http://192.168.15/cgi-bin/set?exposure=64.

So I can do this but I wanted to make a form with all of the settings such that I could read them and set them. Its to painfull otherwise.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

The IP address is for the Network Camera. I access it by the IP shown along with the balance of the syntax for parameter changes (exposure,frame rate ect..). I am able to get the response in perl. I just don't know how to assign the responce to a variable.
