How do I add a distibution list to my Global Address Book. I thought I added one but it created it in my contacts instead. So obviously I did it wrong. I have full admin access to my Exchange Server which is Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise on Windows 2003 Enterprise.

Thanks,

Aaron

If it put it in your contacts did you create it in outlook? Create it in AD.

On the Exchange server, perform the following:

1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
2. On the left, locate the OIU in which you wish to create the group. Click on it.
3. On the right, right-click on an empty area of the screen and click "New...Group".
4. Type in a name for the group. Accept all other defaults except 'Group Type' (choose Distribution). Click 'Next'.
5. Check the box to create and Exchange e-mail address. Change the alias to what you would like to see on the left hand side of the e-mail address. ("something"@...). Click 'Next'.
6. Click Finish. After a few minutes, you should see the group in the GAL, provided you're not in cached mode and using an offline address list.

I'm midway through moving from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003, and have moved a few mailboxes onto the new Exchange 2003 server. Should I still be able to access these using Outlook Web Access ? I get an error screen saying "OWA was unable to get to your inbox".

Is OWA up and running on the new server? Are the mailboxes on the old or new server?

Firstly apologies - I didn't mean to drop my question into this thread!!

OWA appears to be on the new server but I can't access the logon screen - says page cannot be found.

the mailboxes are now on the new server

I would make sure ISS is up and running and check the default webpage in IIS or the webpage you created if not using the default to confirm it's configured with the ip and port you are trying to hit it at from the web.
