Hi Everyone-

I'm still trying to nail down my problems with one way communication on my 4602SW IP phones. All of the IP phones on this network have static IP addresses, and therefore do not have entries in the DHCP server. Could this be an issue? Does the IPO use DHCP to try and make connections to phones, or does it use IP addresses? Thanks!

Phil

DHCP is only a means of automaicaly alocating IP Adresses & is not the cause of your problem.

Your problem is simple, the latest release of 4602 software is faulty, Avaya are aware of this issue, A new version of firmware is currently under test in Denver & should be released shortly

I noticed that 1.8.1 firmware for the 4602SW phones is on the Avaya website. Anyone try this yet? It was released this month.

Does this also effect 4620's or only 4602's ??
