newbie question about sql syntax

as i'm using a JDBC driver to connect to my sql server and that it doesn't works (even if i have made the sql query under sql server enterprise manager), i wonder something...

what is the difference between a simple join and a inner join ? Best regards X-),

A simple join and an inner join are the same thing. In SQL Server syntax JOIN and INNER JOIN have the same meaning.
