Hi everyone.

I'm new in the forum and by the way my english is not good :( I'll try to understand the future posts.

I'm using IPO500 V2 with 1 digital expansion module and 7 analog expasion modules (all of them are Analog POTS30V2). Suddenly one of my analog modules stop working.

I've rebooted my control unit but the expansion module led is flashing green.

All my other analog modules are working fine.

Using DTE port Hyperterminal show me this:

Kernel Started
Constructor Heap 0 Main Heap 497696
Free Memory before starting Console 365300
Free Memory now 361660
Detected: ANALOG POTS30V2
PORT COUNT = 30
DVP 0: Constructor - 16 lines firstPort 0 - base TS 1 - deviceType 1
DVP 0: Waiting for PCLK.......................................................
.....................................

All after "waiting for PCLK" are dots.

Any help?

Thanks! This forum is really interesting ;)

I've rebooted all my system (control unit, digital module and analog modules) in many ways... First the core, then the module... First the module, then the core... Only the module and still not working :(

Why use DTE when Monitor or System Status are much easier and would probably tell you much more.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

try a different port on the control unit as it could be that the one the module is using is faulty.

But for future reference when rebooting ALWAYS power up the processor last

System status don't show me the module. In the port where is plugged the status shows me "NOT PRESENT".

I don't understand Monitor. I choose File - Select Unit and put the IP address of my control unit but nothing happens. What's wrong?

Thank you, Westi, i'll do it!

The correct way to initialize the system is Expansion Modules first. You will see the green LED blinking. Then the IP Office control unit. If everything is OK the green blinking LEd will stay on 30 seconds later.

If is the first time maybe the module will be upgraded with the firmware provided in the SD Card in the Control Unit. This wil take a while (5 minutes more or less) an a lot of reboots.

Sometimes the module stops working and you need to change it (if the LED is red, you need to change without hesitantions). In the FAQ is a procedure to repair a dead module but I follow the steps without success.

Thanks for your answer IPOCraft.

Indeed, since a hour ago, the LED is always RED... So I think i must call my reseller to change the module :(

I wanna try to fix it via DTE but as i said, PuTTy shows me a lot of dots and don't let me write anything.

Is the message "Waiting for PCLK" signal of a serious issue?

unplug all cords from the module and reboot, then see if it comes back green. The modules do not like shorts on any of the ports so if that happens then they sometimes don't even boot up
