Newbie PArtner system Question help please!!

I have inherited a AT&T partner system. It has 2 partner 400 cards and 2 partner II 206 cards. Sorry I may have them backwards. Anyhow I had an original problem of an extension with bad static. I found out from Avaya that I could move the set to the next port but programing will not move with it. No biggie I said, So I moved it! Well everything is fine EXCEPT, I have one outside line that will not work. It is a 7 digit number that on any other ext. lights up with tone except the one I moved. So my question is how can I make this ext get the tone from the line I need? I know go to ext 10 or 11 to program, I know the feature 0 0 to login and sys sys central for the set and enter in the extesion to be programmed but I cannot find out from there how to program that number to a key? Any help or a point in the right direction will be greatly appreciated!!!

If you go to central tel programming and enter the extension to be programmed, you should see flashing lights for the lines are set to ring on that phone. Figure out the number of the line you're talking about (ie CO5) and press the button that is solid, that should turn it to immediate ring.
 
As I read your question, it sounds like you have a button that should have an outside line on it, but doesn't. The easiest way to program in this case is to copy the new extension from the old extension.

This doesn't copy the soft keys, like Redial etc., so you still need to program them from the set itself or from Ext. 10 or 11 in Centralized Telephone Programming.

Thanks TouchtoneTommy, I got hung up for a sec at the prompt after the copy from ext because it said data? I entered in the new ext and it worked fine. Although I had no idea what I was doin, Your help was wonderful and worked perfectly! Thank you very much!
