Slot 4-Partner Mail VS R4.0 with Mailbox Expansion Card

I have several problems:
1. When calling in, I get the "transfering to receptionist" message. Also, two lines light up and one stays lit until you pick it up and then hang up. I have read the manual, but which extensions to I program in HuntGroup7 (#505)?? Do I also put these same extensions into the CallGrpDist 7?

2. When trying to access VM programming (intercom 777), it rings at some other extension instead of allowing me access.

I DID have everything seemingly working yesterday, but then everything went crazy. Any help on these is MUCH appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim Allen

I forgot to add that Slot 5 is empty on the rack above!
Thanks,

1.) Remove ringing from the line appearances for vmail port extensions 34, 35, 36, 37. You see two lines pick up because the ports are "fighting" over which gets the call because they are all programmed to ring on every inbound call. Remove the ringing and only calls directed to the hunt group composed of the vmail extensions will answer the call, and then, only one port instead of all. Use #505 to enter ONLY 34-37 in hunt group 7 and remove ALL others. Use #206 to identify the lines you want the vmail auto attendant to monitor and answer.

2.) Use #505 to enter ONLY 34-37 in hunt group 7 and remove ALL others.

Once you put the VM ports in Hunt Group 7, it doesn't matter if they have immediate ring, or for that matter even have lines assigned. Hunt group 7 will route the calls to the next available VM port based on the line being in #206-7 and the VMS Hunt Delay.

Thank you both for the help!! I added the correct extensions to Hunt Group 7 and everything seems to be working well now. A few more times throught the manuals and I got everything set up perfectly. It's great to have found a forum for this stuff. Thanks again!

I am new to avaya partner programing. I have installed a small phone system, but have some lose ends that I can't seem to get by. It is a partner ACS VS 5.0 with a PC card voice mail option. It is the small version with just four mail boxes.

1 can I set up a seperate auto attenuate to answer a seperate line on the phone system. How do I do it? I have poke around a bit.

2 Can I make the system hang up if the party does not want to leave a voice message. Right now the system continues to chug through to the end and sometimes the customer gets a nonmessage.

3 I tried to set up single didget to repeat the auto attenuate message, but it did not seem to have that opption.

Please help if you can.
