I'm a newbie to DW using a pre-designed template and have a (only one for now - more to come, I'm sure) question:

Is there a "Quick Start" listing somewhere that tells me the basic steps to take in configuring this template for my use? From what I'm reading in the documentation, it appears that there are several things that have to be "set up" for the site to work properly when I put it online. If someone can give me a listing of what needs to be done, I would appreciate it a lot!

THANKS!

Welcome to Tek-Tips. To get the best from this forum read faq222-2244 carefully. That will give you some guidelines on appropriate posting and how to do your own basic research.

This question is answered fairly comprehensively in DW Help|Contents|DW basics. You can also do a search in DW help for 'tutorial' and you will find step-by-step instructions for each stage.

When you have studied that come back with any specific questions you may have - the forum isn't really designed to give tutorials!

Sorry - I went to look for "DW Help|Contents|DW basics" and don't know where to find it.

Open DW. F1 opens the Help screen. Select the Contents Tab. Click on the Dreamweaver Basics link
