This may sound really silly, but our company has a Norstar startalk Flash and I am trying to hook up music to the system....I can't open the ksu....can anyone help?

The Flash is a voicemail not the main KSU of the phone system. You won't be connecting Music to the FLASH. It is connected to a pair off the phone system. What phone system do you have? MRoberts

Silly me. Sorry about that. We have the Norstar-Plus Compact ICS 2.0....does that help?

Yes, the Music should be punched down to the Violet/ Green pair on the external lines amphenol cable. MRoberts

What does that mean? I Know what the KSU looks like and I have a radio......I know I need some type of connector(would a radio shack carry it?)that will connect the radio to the KSU. But How do I do it in Layman terms? Thanks so much for any help.

You are going to need a technician to come out and connect it.
You'll need a punch tool and a connector that yes you can get from Radio shack. It has a barrel pin type connector that will plug into the radio headset port, the other end is bare wires that will be connected to the port I mentioned above. MRoberts

Thanks....I understand a little bit more now...what is the name of the connector so that I may ask for it properly? Is this not something I can install myself? Why not?

I honestly don't remember what they call the connector. And you can install it if you have a punch tool and know how to punch it down on the correct block. It isn't that hard but most end users don't have punch tools. MRoberts
