I'm trying to install perl-Digest-MD5-2.16-1.i386.rpm and I'm getting this error but not sure how to resolve it. Any suggestions?

[root@redhat root]# rpm -ivh perl-Digest-MD5-2.16-1.i386.rpm

perl (somewhat) recently updated to v5.8 from 5.6(.1) in many distributions. It is likely that you are trying to either

1) apply an .RPM for perl v 5.6.x to a perl 5.8 system, or
2) the RPM has already been applied.

You may be correct. I've installed Linux9 which has Perl 5.8
