How do I ascertain my unused available digital or analog ports?

First get the status of each digital board to see which channels are programmed and if any are disabled.Then use the command that tells you if the phone is plugged in and what type acctually there. Then for the analog ports you going to have to see what is programmed verses whats jumpered or patched to the system if it's not to large a system. This should get you a pretty good idea what you have.

Thanks for the info. Hate to be a pain, but can you tell me what the line commands are for the steps you are describing?

If it's 9006, use this:

DIS-SDSU
status = nogen
link =
type = pen
level = PER2;

note I ended that with a semicolon. That means "skip all the rest"

This will give you a nice report of every board configured in the system (whether installed or not), what kind of board it is, and any open ports (status = NOGEN).

To see what boards are installed, do this:

DIS-BCSU:TBL;

Anything that says FREE or has an asterisk in brackets [*] is an empty slot.

The commands listed above are for use in DirectAMO or RMX. If you are using the EMML scripts just hit <Shift><F5> and enter the command name without any dashes (ex: DISBCSU). The script will prompt you for the parameters.

If you're not using 9006 (because you didn't bother to specify) then thanks for reading!

If you're using ManagerE or AssistantE all you have to do is go into the station setup screen and any device that has an Asterisk * is not connected to anything - except for the analog ports - I think those you have to actually look at.
