From the CISCO web site there appears to be contradictory info regarding the capabilities of WIC-2T cards:

On page:

it states that upto 8Mbps bandwidth per card is possible.

But on
it says that a maximum port speed of only 2 Meg is possible, making only 4Meg per card.

Data sheets for the two port V/WIC calims that a benefit of this type of card over a regular WIC is that it increases the E1 port density, allowing 2 E1 lines per WIC slot.

Can anyone explain the B/W limitations of the WIC2T to me please? I'm getting confused!!

Also, is the 2610's forwarding rate of 15K pps suitable for supporting two 2 Meg leased lines?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I raised a similar thread on the same day! There are conflicting statements on the Cisco Web site, but I have been assured by Cisco that a WIC-2T is capable of up to 8M as long as it is installed on one of the 'new' network modules (1FE1R2W etc) and also as long as no other WICs are in use on the network module. However, I am now trying to get a WIC-2T working at 4M provided via an inverse mux, and it doesn't appear to work. At the moment it is not clear whether the inverse mux is at fault or the router. Cisco and the suppliers of the mux are investigating.
