Well like alot of people I have been given the great roll of the M1 admin for 1 81c and 2 11c's however I am moving along slowly. I have stumbled on to 2 qustions this afternoon..

1)how could one associate a POTS line to a DN? like have a number 555-2222 and attach it to the DN of 2323?

2) If someone has programmed a 2008 with 5 rollover numbers and I "NUL" 2 of them out; do the DN's go back into my "POOL" of DN's or is there another way I should be removing keys?

Thanks for any and all help....

Let me answer question number 2 first. As long as you do not have that DN associated to any other TN, then, yes, it would go back into the pool of un-used DN's.

Now for question number 1. If it is a POTS line, then I believe you would have to talk to the carrier of the line (Sprint, AT&T. etc.) and have them point it to a specific number. I know we have done that here with (800) numbers but not with a local POTS line. Hope that helps.

If your talking about a pots line thats comes into your location and you want that line to go to a certain DN, then yes you can do that by making the RDB an auto terminate route and assign a auot DN to it.
