My Color Palette is not working. I have an object selected. a simple rectangular frame. I have filled it with magenta using the Swatch Palette but the Color Palette is grayed out at LAB, CMYK and RGB. It will not let me modify the color or use it at all. What have I done wrong. I may have messed up a setting somewhere. Can some please help me?

Double click on the swatch in the swatch palette to change its color.

Yes I can do that but why is my color palette all grayed out. It worked in the beginning but now it doesn't.
