Hello all. New to the forums...just found them.

How hard is In Design to work with? I mean for a relative layman? Can the above average/less than techie user pick up the program and do a low-level magazine layout?

My wife and I just took over a local magazine and the lady who used to do the layout moved away. I was hoping I could start doing it, and I know that she used In Design. I am fairly proficient with most normal program and can usually pick things up pretty easily.

Blow $25 at lynda.com and watch the tutorials. If it seems too complex, you wasted $25.

Just be aware that laying put a magazine is not just a matter of mastering the software.
