I have an issue with a user that I've never seen before. When they open a new word document, it opens with text from a previous document they created. This previous document was created in October. I can't seem to find a setting to keep a new document from opening with text. Has anyone seen this happen before. This is happening with Word 2000 (part of Office 2000 Professional).

Perhaps the user has inadvertantly saved a new default template (normal.dot) file that contains the offending text.

Hi,
Open windows explorer, go to toos options, view.
Make sure u can view all files.
Do a search for normal.dot
rename to normal.old
restart ur machine
Make sure that office is closed during all of this.
Open word, everything should be fine.
