We are currently running CallPilot 5.00 on a large CS1000 rel 5.5 and are trying to migrate just the voicemail piece to Cisco Unity leaving CallPilot applications running for our small call center needs at the moment. My question is what do I need to be careful of and what do I need to change to allow voicemail calls to go to Unity while all else remains functional on CallPilot?

Here is where we are at so far:

Pilot DN for current VM is CDN 2100
Temp Pilot DN for new VM DSC 2301
QSIG Trunks built between systems and MWI working.

Left to do:

Change Pilot for Unity from 2301 to 2100.
Keep apps working on Callpilot.

The numbers on all your CP apps are either built on dummy ACDN that NCFW to CP CDN-2100 or are on phantom DN that's DCFW to CP CDN-2100.

You'll need to create a new CDN for CP and add that same CDN into CP and the VSDN table as a Voice Messaging DN. Once you have that, then you'll need to point all the NCFW and/or DCFW from your apps to the new CP CDN. You'll also need to delete the old CDN from CP and delete/reprogram that number for the new VM.

Where would I add the new DN to CP (I know where the VSDN is)? Also, where should I go to acquire/de-acquire the CDNs?

Thanks for your help...

There are 2 ways to deacquire the CP CDN. First is through LD 48 DACR ALL X (where X is the CP ELAN) the second is to shut down CP. Regardless which you do, you'll have to reboot/power up the CP server to acquire the CDN again. The 1st method also deacquire all CP ports as well.

1. Create your new CDN in the PBX, you only need to enter a value for CDN and DFDN, all the other prompts can be enter through.
2. Add the new CDN number in the VSDN table. Assign Voice Messaging DN to this new CDN.
3. Run Configuration Wizard, pressing NEXT on all the screen (SKIP on the Language screen) till you reach the screen where the current CDN is, remove the old CDN and add the NEW CDN. Finish Configuration Wizard and reboot.
Once the system comes up, it will acquire the new CDN and since the old CDN is no longer in CP, it should now be deacquire as well. Now, you can delete the old CDN and rebuild it for something else.

Dont forget to repoint all your dummy acdn and phantom dn to the new VoiceMessaging DN.
