New users come up not found in network

Whenever I add a new user to the NT Server everything seems to go ok during the actual adding process. But when I go to login I get an error saying user not found. The really interesting part is that it is usually on the new computers with Win 98 Second Version installed. Anyone having this problem? I can even login with that person's information at my PC but when I go to their PC I get the error user not found. I've had this problem before and usually if I wait a week or two it will finally let that user login??

you have the problem that the domain is not synchronised.<br>

To cure the problem add the user or whatever then START RUN net accounts /sync

If you're not comfortable with the command line you can also sync through the Server Manager. Hightlight your PDC then choose &quot;Computer&gt;Synchronize entire domain&quot;. If you have a lot of slow WAN links to BDCs the sync will take a few minutes. You can view all the sync results in the Event Viewer. You may want to look at this and look at the response times. It never should take a week to synchronize a domain.
