Hello

I have recently set up a small office with 2 users using ACT! 6 or 2006. There was already one user, so I have basically set up a shared folder and told the second laptop to look there for the database and email folder etc. Is that right or should I have done something else?

A link to a walkthrough for something like that would be great if there is something I missed.

Actually now it seems that everything is very slow, opening contacts can take upto about 3 minutes. Any help would be really good.

That can be ok for ACT! 6, but definately not for ACT! 2006

Its deffinitly ACT! 6.
I have made a few changes now, told Norton not to scan the shared folder, used ACTDIAG to change the locking stuff. It seems to be running allot better now.

But.... mail medge doesn't work now, they use Outlook as their mail client but when they use ACT to send a mail shot it just doesnt work, any ideas?

I would recommend usig MergeMaster! to do email merges from ACT!... much faster, many other functions. Free trial from
