Hi,
I am new to VFP but would like to use the tool to develop an application. I have previous programming experience with lower level languages and a solid background in computers.

I am looking for some advice as to the best way to begin with VFP. I will be using version 9.0. Are there any good comprehensive books (I have not had much luck locating one)? Or should I just start using the tool and rely on MSDN? I don't mind doing this but I would like a high level view of how VFP projects are laid out in general. Any ideas were I can find a good overview of VFP project development.

Thanks!

Gianolig,

MSDN is technical material done with assumption that
one has at least some prior knowledge in VFP dev tool. Given the experience you have I would suggest (if possible) you get
a near friend who knows VFP well enough to give you a quick overview of
how VFP projects work, then you can start from there. There
are a number of issues that you really need to understand
if you are to start on serious VFP project.
Hope it helps.
