Hi,

I am trying to learn VC++.net however the tutorials I have found are all for regular C++. Will this be ok or are there big differences, I have tried compiling a few examples from the tutorials and some of them fail :/

What are the main differences between C++ and VC++.net ?

Also are there any good VC++.net tutorials around ?

Thanks for your help

what do you want to learm more exactly ....?
what errors do the old tutorials give ... ?

Thanks for the reply ...

I just want to learn the basics so I can then go on to learn the more advanced stuff when needed.

I have worked out the compiler errors now, I had set it up wrong :/

Do you know of any general tutorials that will give me a good basis knowledge of the language ?

Thnaks again

If I understand your post correctly you are new to C++, in which case you would do well to concentrate on the purely C++ language aspects and forget about which particular compiler you happen to be using.

as mbozza said, you should learn c++ wihtouth worrying about what compiler you use.. if you like, post the code you are having trouble with, the errors you get (possibly what line hte error occurs on) and we'll see what we can do..
