New to useing ASA

I have just started using remote access to my switch; ASA I believe is what it is called. I had posted a question about how to print several pages at once and was told to use GEDI, which worked as it should, now though when I try and start GEDI it gives me a "Manual login" prompt which it has not done before.
I enter my login info and after around 10-15 seconds it displays "Communications error: Command timed out". Now I can log into my switch from the emulator just fine both the Definity side and audix but I can’t get the GEDI to work.
Any thoughts?

Look at the property settings; is manual log-in checked?

you can do a manual login even on gedi but after you have entered the login and password you have to press continue(F7)

I tried that and it still wouldnt work, i have got it working now so i dont think ill mess with it anymore, it seems all my equipment is very kranky so if its working now im not going to complane.

did you try to increase the time of timeout period?
