Hello. I have recently "inherited" our Solaris 5.6 Website server. On our site we have a "comments" page which is supposed to forward those comments to our email server. This server used to be hosted by a third party. Everything seems to work fine except the comments never make it to our email server. It is still trying to send them to the wrong domain. I cannot locate where this info is edited. I have corrected the /etc/hosts and resolv.conf files, to no avail. I believe the box is running Sendmail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards,
Rob

If the box is using sendmail, you will have to edit sendmail.cf for the domain Too bad I.T. is not cash business

sendmail.cf is correct. That wasn't it.

I can email to a third-party mailbox (Yahoo). When I look at the headers from the Yahoo mail, it has my correct IP address, but incorrect domain... Where are SMTP settings configured?

Thanks again,
Rob

Hi,

Check you DNS server setting for MX. Outgoing email is straight forward enough. But incoming always cause a problem sometimes.
