New to sniffer and have a few questions

I am currently researching Sniffer for a corporate environment and I have a few questions. I need to get Sniffer Reporting but I can not find on the web site if that is a stand alone product or if I have to get a primary software package and have that as an add on package. Can someone give me some guidance about this product.

The reason that I need it is I need to see what computers on the network are accessing what resources on the network.

We are currently NT4 but are moving to Windows 2000.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciate.

Sniffer Reporter is an add on software package for Sniffer Pro.

I think, you can get Sniffer Reporter "Now" for $500.00
when you purchase Sniffer Pro 4.5 it was sold for $7,500 And yes you can get it as a package deal. You must ask for the questions before you buy.

Reporter is free and included with distributed Sniffer and Sniffer Investigator. I've never heard of it selling for $500.

Sniffer Reporter is bundled into the Distributed Product Line. For the Portable product-line it is bundled into some licenses (IE. Sniffer Pro LAN and Reporter Bundle, Sniffer Pro WAN and Reporter Bundle, etc.) As a stand-alone product a Reporter Pertpetual license is sold at $7500.00 List Price, Support is extra.

Sniffer Reporter is a short term trending tool, one week maximum. Sniffer Watch is an additional piece of software (comes loaded on a PC or stand-alone) that you can use to poll the Distibuted Sniffers in your network and collect all of the RMON 1, 2 stats, create custom reports etc. Sniffer Watch is more robust and a great add-on to the Distributed Product-Line.
