Hello. Hope you are doing well.

I have experience with Avaya and Nortel but now work at a place that has a NEC SV9100.
I have the MAN and SA level accounts.
Most of it seems pretty straight forward.

PBX contains:
SV9100 GCD-CP10
Single Line Int GCD-4LCF
VM/App Server GCD-VM00
Application Gateway GCD-RGA

VM is my current challenge.
Have a new hire.
Assigned him to Ext 2306
Trying to change the VM password.

I dial the pilot number
Get the prompt "Please enter your personal security code"
I can't find the right code to back the prompt up to ask for Admin mailbox
Even if I do, I am not sure what the admin pw is.

I am logged into WebPro
Looking at 45-XX VM Intergration & 47-XX InMail
Mailbox Ext 101 is Sys Admin
Not seeing a place to change the PW

Also trying to determine what Mailbox Extension = Station 2306
I checked the 15-xx Extension Setup and 47-xx
Not finding the table that ties the Station to a Mailbox Extension

I thought there might be another web interface for the VM admin
Went to 10-70: UC Server Voicemail Interface Settings
The 02 - UM8000 IP Address = 0.0.0.0
Not sure why the installer did not assign an IP.
Or maybe this is not a web interface like I am thinking.

I've tried getting help from ChatGPT but hit a dead end because I am not finding any field to change the password for a station vm extension.

Appreciate your help.
Thanks.

If the system is using a GCD-VM00, then you are not using InMail, but you have a UM8000.

You can reset passwords from a telset, as long as you login to voice mail using a mailbox that has system administrator checked.

You can also change passwords via the web interface. The IP address for the voice mail is assigned in chassis programming 10-55-xx.

At default this address is 172.16.1.xxx, where .xxx will vary depending upon which slot the CD-VM00 was installed.
slot 1 will be .100
slot 2 will be .101
slot 3 will be .102
slot 4 will be .103
slot 5 will be .104
slot 6 will be .101

Hopefully, the correct address is assigned in 10-55. If it is, there will be a link on the SV9100 main screen for the voicemail. If not, try the above default IP addresses.

You can also login locally using a laptop with an emulator, (ie - Putty). Of the top of my head I believe it is 9600-8-N-1. You will need to use the admin user and associated password. Once in here you can list your IP or change it as needed.

Sent you a Conversation request if you still need help.

After posting my initial post I found the link on the Home page called "Configure In-skin Voice Mail
Tada! That opened the web interface to manage the voicemail system.
Once I found that resetting the mailbox password, etc was easy to find.

Thank you to gbtac3 and NEC Tech for your assistance.

For anyone who finds this looking for the same answer:
Open browser
Enter IP address for WebPro
Look on the right hand side of the page:
You will see "Site Name:", "IP Address:", etc
Under "Links" click on "Configure In-skin Voice Mail"
That should open the web interface for your UM8000 voicemail system
