New to LG IPecs

Hi All,
I am looking to be starting at a firm which primarily installs Ipecs along with some other systems,
I mostly know Panasonic and a bit of Avaya and I am looking to see if anyone could answer a few questions I have, I am going on the training course however just want a little info before this happens
- SIP Trunks, does anyone have a guide for Gamma sips?
- Can I link PBX's together like an Avaya SCN, if I do so what is the method - can a UCP talk to a eMG80?
- Can I have phones remotely without a VPN but with handset pointing to the public IP of the kit?
- What's the deal with voicemail, is there some inbuilt voicemail and also is there an enhanced one like a TVM50 or VMPro?

I can think of 100 more but those are the core ones I have,
If anyone could advise it'd be most appreciated

Yes to all of them!

The UCP/eMG80 setup for Gamma is a doddle. No need to worry about it.
Networking 2 systems also works easily, license at each site, different number plans, port forwarding and couple more tweaks.
All remote phones/apps work via NAT so no VPN is required. Just port forwarding at the system site.
Inbuilt voicemail is also a breeze,there is a module to expand the channels and space but functionality is still the same.


You'll enjoy the LG systems. They are feature rich, quick setup for basic use and have lots of users on here to assist with any issues.


Go on the course first, then see if you need any helpful docs for the above. You probably wont.

iv been doing the lg range and the ipecs ever since its come out and im often on here if u need help with anything.

give me a shout. there are a few people on here that have worked with the lg range for a very long time and what i class as senior engineers

all as above really . as with anything your learn by doing it .
