New to IP Office - cover paths? 2

Our company just had a IP Office v9.1 system installed and I am programming it myself. I am coming from a Definity G3R3 so some of the cover paths, terminology, etc is making it a little difficult. I know how to accomplish this in the Definity but am having problems wrapping my head around it in the IP Office. I am trying to setup a extension so that calls from the outside come in, hit the ext and rings for 25secs, hits a group of people (collective) and rings for 20 secs then goes to a 2nd group and rings 20 secs then ends up at the vmail of the original ext. I'm coming from Cover paths--> cov ans groups, etc. Thanks for all the help!

Easiest solution would be create a group with just the first ext in it and use overflow to direct to the other groups. Any resulting VM will land in the group mail box. I assume you have VM Pro. Have the leave action of the group drop the VM in that extensions box.

Create the user and the two groups. Set call forwarding if not reachable to the first group at the user. Set the second group as overflow for the first group.

From what I remember you have to enable VM in the first group and adjust the VM time to match your needs.

Since the user was called initially IPO will route the caller in the user's mailbox.

The overflow list from the newly created original destination hunt group will control overflow from cradle to grave. If you attempt to use overflow lists in subsequent hunt groups you will be pulling your hair out. Aside from that caveat the rest should be fairly simple. Refer to the help file for information about treatment of overflow calls.
