hello...i have been attempting to teach myself this program and there is one major problem that i'm having...let me know if you can help. When I group numerous objects together (to have a final product)then want to ungroup the object to do a few touch-ups, the program doesn't allow me to do it. I have been using the connecter line tool and the pen tool mostly. If anyone knows how to get by this simple task please let me know. thanks.

Can you tell version number etc and your workflow and I will try to replicate.
With group normally ungrouping or hold the control key down and left click the part you want to edit, square nodes turn to circle, edit object, click away and it is still a group

I am using CorelDraw 11.

It sounds like you might need to use the Node Edit Tool. For lines and segments, once the path is closed they become a single object - even if not grouped together. The individual nodes can be edited to change length, change curves, move node points around while still connected to the rest of the object, etc. And if the objesegment wont change - it may need to be converted to a "Curve" or the Node changed to a "Cusp". This allows editing of individual nodes, whereas otherwise, they are treated as a "Line" (no curve "handles") or a "Smooth" node.

Lastly, the connector line tool is a unique tool that will not allow editing like a standard line or node - it has intrinsic properties that make it behave under its one rules. The only node editing that can be done with the connector tool is to move the nodes in various directions to keep the connected line segment in tact - no curves and no node editing.

What you did is you worked on a single object.
If you want to work on single potions of you grafics you cand do the folowing:

1.) Brake appart your drawing bi presing Ctrl+K (brake appart) whit your drawing still selected

or

2.) Use the Shape tool (F10) to modify your drawing point by point.

I hope this helps!
