How do you open a database without starting the front-end?

If you do not want the database window to show on startup do this simple step:

1) Right click the database window> go to Startup.

From there you can select the Form you want to load on startup and if you want the database window to show. If you have deselected the "Show database window" button and yoy have reloaded the database. To see the window again, go to Window> Unhide.

If you don't want the user to access microsoft access altogether, You should consider using Data Access pages.

Hope this answered your question.

I must have used the wrong lingo. I have an Access db that has front-end. I would like to open the DB design window without the front-end starting.
